Just wanted to take time to thank Kal for trying to maintain the integrity of the honest, blue collar OC'er. We appreciate it. Much respect for voicing views and ethics that some of us still share. You are truly a brothers brother. Thanks.:)

Hey Scott........ :)

I agree ... good job supes for sticking up for the average hard working bointer :clapping:

This type of stuff makes me glad I am not up at the top. Does not look like it is fun up there, Being fun is my primary/only reason for doing this. I will just remain a voice in the crowd. They can have their freebies and factory support ..... Not much of a game up there is it ? (WHAT A JOKE)

It is a shame what this whole thing has boiled down to. I am glad to see we have a stand up crew here at OCA .... and as always Classic Platforms has ,much respect from this overclocker .....

Even tho this time a few were caught sharing/buying scores, this stuff has been going on for long time.

It's next to impossible to catch this when only 1 or 2 scores were used and at different comps or places.

How do you combat 1 score being sent to another team mate or person so they get a good ranking, or position in a comp ?

The thing is about this time, the winners or now cheaters used these scores so they could make it Taipei. We all know what that means for a OCer.

Why is it that everyone went to Yang for scores ?
Becuase hes been doing this for long time and key people knew this.

Think he is the only one doing this ?

Kal is doing a great job on posting over there. its a very hard place to get a message accross LOL

Here here! :toast:

Way to drive home a point, Kal.

....as for how to police the cheating: Simply put, you cannot. The only thing we can do as a community is oust the ones caught and keep moving forward. There is almost always going to be someone shooting dirty when money or prizes are involved.

Personally, I do not care if it was best friend or my own mother, if that individual is cheating and gets caught... screw 'em, they deserve whatever they get. If you tarnish your own name and get put in the stocks to have tomatoes thrown at you, tough. However, if they get away with it (for now) then good for them. It'll catch up to them eventually.

Edit: Kal, you are truly a sister's husband's brother... twice removed and almost as pretty as me. :D

Man when I left Wednesday I knew shit was nasty, but now it's real nasty. All I want to know is what my punishment would have been for the same offense as the others. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say much harsher because I'm a nobody.

What we need for this shit to be taken seriously is a non-biased governing body over this sport. Maybe overclockers who have retired from active benching or some who are willing to give it up to grow the sport. Right now I see a ton of good 'ol boy attitudes towards some of the people. Cheating in overclocking is like using the juice in sports. Both should carry a lifetime ban!
