It was the Proc
The problems I was having overclocking my gamer went away as soon as I switched out the 965 for the 975 I had laying around.
Guess I gotta RMA the 965 :clapping: |
Wasnt there another thread on this?
Glad you got your proc running bro, help me find the other thread so I can move this post there. |
Glad its all good now dawg thought it might be degradation.

I ... ummm.. couldn't remember where the other one was  I'll search
I'm thinking it was titles something like "opinions please" but I'll be damned if I can find it:Dizzy: searched posts and threads and no sign of it... Maybe just delete this one and if I find the old one someday I'll add to it  |

New 965 and perhaps this very slightly used 975 for sale when return comes from Intel |
NO, IT WASN'T THE PROC
After I changed out the CPU to the 975 everything ran well at 4.5 Ghz since the previous post, then, earlier today it started acting up again ?? I did a Memtest that passed all the RAM at stock speed, but showed hundreds of mem problems at OC speeds. Now Im thinking it's the board but I'm gonna do some more trouble shooting. Could it be the PSU? |
if you got a "spare" i would try... ricks psu was bad during the team contest everything worked after he switched it out
|
going to swap it out tomorrow, i'll let ya all know
