Old news! I did this already and after testing it out there was a significant performance drop benching a card through the PCIE extension. At least it was back on PCIE 1.0. It might be a different story now. :thumbsup:

Not to mention the longer the extension the more the drop...

Although 6" cable would not be able to come from the slot and around to hte card in that configuration.

omg! didn't think anyone was crazy enough to do that!
