Msi P67A GD-65 or BIOSTAR TP67B+ P67
First off I'd like to say sorry for being awhile from OCA forums and bros for a minute. I started working for GE in the data center mostly working with server install/de-installs, trouble shooting, and cabling. Which for me is a dream job :D but at the same time can be a nightmare trying to cram tons of information in my head .
Anyway looking to take the plunge into the 1155 socket, like the title says I'm deiciding between the Msi P67A GD-65 or BIOSTAR TP67B+ P67 . I want to cut costs on the board since 2011 socket and X67 are just around the corner. I'll be getting a 2600k cpu and using WCing and if DICE is needed staying around -20c (from what I've seen lower temps are worse). If anyone has input I'd love to hear from you guys ;) Msi P67A GD-65: Pros as I see it. Easy to prep for subzero cooling Ability to enter up coming MSI events military class components Nice results on Hwbot Cons as I see it. Priced about $60 higher than Biostar P55 memory was hard to OC, maybe fixed with P67?? BIOSTAR TP67B+ P67: Pros as I see it. Cheaper Nice results on Hwbot Cons as I see it. My DICE pot may hit the caps around the socket Cheaper Quality??? Easy overclock??? Customer support??? Forgot to mention I'm going to see if I can pull the trigger on this tomorrow if not then sometime next week................ Stupid HR payroll procedures........... |
good to see you around bro, I don't know much about either of those boards
But rumor has it you chip either has it or it don't .... Nip grabbed 5.6 with his MATX asus .... Rick I think had a Bio Star, may try PM;ing him and I beleive Splig had an MSI ' he may even have some binned CPU's .............. |
Thanks WD helpful as always bro. I'll dig around more and see what I can come up with. Hoping this platform will rack up some boints for 2D & 3D benchs, seems like 01 is breezy with Sandy on your side..
