4870X2 clocks?
I've tried 3 versions of ABE, 4 different versions of drivers/catalyst, Rivatuner, and ATI tool in XP 32 and 7 32 and I can't change clocks on 4870X2. Uninstalled, cleaned and reinstalled multiple times.
Flashed to ASUS top. Uninstalled and reinstalled net 2.0. Im not talking about the CCC limits holding me back. I can't bump up clocks AT ALL. Gonna try a few different versions of rivatuner. After that I guess I'll just use RBE and make a bunch of new card BIOSes to keep flashing to as I bench. Any ideas what I'm missing? |

Still won't actually change clocks. Acts like it's gonna, but no candy.
Several methods now work in Vista. But not XP. Flashed the card bios about 30 times in the last 2 hours.... (or is that 60 times? because there's 2 cores to flash) Cold bug -120ish. Doesn't like more that 1.3v (from bios). Won't clock core more that 900. Doesn't like memory higher that 1000. Man, I've spent the whole weekend on this card for very little overclock gain. There's more to try, but I'm burnt out on this project. |
I used to use this to set fan profiles CCC
I forget if there are any clock profiles and as I don't have any ATI cards in the slot at the moment I can't check it for you, but may be worth a look Save a profile in CCC first "C:\Users\Bretware\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Bretw are. XML. the xml file will have the same name as the catalyst profile you saved. Right click and hit edit. |
smart doc still wont work with the TOP bios?

Might try that if I revisit this in the future. Moved on to other things. Card is ho hummish anyway. Grabbed the 3d06 gold because of my 5.8 ghz 2600K, but I can't get it to clock well enough to make noise in GPU heavy tests. |
