new X79 Rig
 

I needed to rebuild my water cooled rig after being gone for a bit..Still using my MM fish tank ..took a bit to clean it up...
new stuff:
Asus X79Pro MB
I7 3930
16 GB Gskill ripjaw Z
and I got a 7970 amd sample ref...why not

I also decided to try just straight distilled water and a drop or 2 of dead water and this little piece of silver in the repack...I have no Idea why it would work...something I read and I had a calcium build up 2 times..

I ran all new lines and cleaned it all....also switched to a Koolance cpu-370 block...3930 is big....

The 7970 ref looks alot like the 5870....a few 3Dmark test..I never really have went over 4.7ish with the 3Dmark cpu oriented test before..this 3930 will do it with ease..I stopped at 5.0...Im not totally sure how to clock it . right now just using the multi and it likes to run Vantage and 06 at 5.0....

Ill try 5.1 later with HT on and see if it likes that...just amazing...things have changed....

tryed the mark 11....totally confused about what to do with that..I ran it at 4.9 but I think it will go 5.0...ill see

bottom line:
got my Fish tank back all good as new...The 3930 although looking like a mini-pop tart runs and runs well...im sure the Nvidia offering of a 3.0 card with their Physics will be fantastic.....
