Well it's official...

I'm screwed when I get busted. I just ordered another 4870 1gb and some cheapo crucial 2x1gb that should be D9JNL chips. Mainly I'm screwed when I do get busted :p Where's that paddle ass smiley when you need it?

DrNip 03-05-2009 03:15 AM

Your not screwed. You made a wise decision. On the RAM, one of mine was D9JNL but the other was D9JNM. I couldn't tell a difference between the two though. Just a heads up.

Thanks. I think pretty much all the micron IC's are good. I checked the part numbers on the 1gb stick and the 2x1gb kit, they are identical besides the number change about the qty of gb's.

Oh it will be the fight of the century when she notices what I've done. I'm just gonna tell her somebody is letting me "borrow" the card :p

Been there done that!

Well as soon as I get the hardware and drnip makes us a killer hwbot banner, I'll be a forum pimp instead of whore ;)

Damn, if my wife ever knew all the hardware I've bought over the last couple of years. I've used a crap load of "smoke and mirrors" with my account, and I'm quick to sell stuff after I brench, so I don't lose much on "bleeding edge" hardware.

Hell, at last count b/t the 1366 and 1156 platforms, I've owned 21 core i7 chips, and nearly as many motherboards.

I just use the "I have to stay ahead of the curve for the industry" line. Which isn't a complete smoke screen but it gets me by lol.

Hmm, gets me thinking...
3520, 3540, 3570, 3580, 920, 950, 960, 965,.....and coming soon to an Empire near you, (introduced with 2001 space oddysey drums in background) the 980x.
