funny you brought that up, I've been building a laser that's 1W rated, the only difference it's that my is a 808nm instead of being like the 473 or 450nm blue ones, the 808nm is a IR based so you can't see it which it makes it extra dangerous for people who have no idea what they are doing.

and i also happens to have a 980nm unknown power diode with a titanium casing which would be really fun to build too

now just working on the part where i stick the driver into the casing and having it to stay :keeporder:

Also PS the greens ones are just the 808nm with a crystal to reflect it into a 532nm wavelength which you can find on ebay or something but you get ripped off if you don't know if it's good or not

Oh yes, extremely dangerous if handled incorrectly, irreversible damage can occur, a lifetime of "ah man, I wish I didn't do that". But cool as hell.
