Windows "no display" blind shutdown sequence
Aloha,
Sometimes, while installing additional graphics cards, you may be confronted with a "no display" situation during an additional graphics card install. "Gosh Darnit" you say? Thats next to impossible with today's exceptional operating systems and driver developement right? Anyways, what could happen is.......your driver installs but for whatever reason, screen goes black. You know its not a lockup cuz hdd is going like usual. What to do? Hard shutdown? Noooooooo, bad for hdd mojo and os corruption. Besides it'll jack up driver. ANSWER: be familiar with a blind "no display" shutdown via keyboard. Yah yah, Genius' already knew the sequence  For the rest of us from our mobile phones: Win 7: windows key, right arrow, enter to shutdown windows key, right, right, up, enter to restart Win Xp: windows key, u, u to shutdown Win Vista: windows key, right, right, right, u to shutdown Windows 8: FIIK ;) |
