Wires [Question]

1 Attachment(s)
Just got around to actually get this little project done....

trying to spice the room up a little so i picked up some SMD light strips, if i use all 300/500 on the roll, the room is going to light up like 4th july. also if I use all of them and one goes out it's gonna look like crap... since SMD still goes out after awhile...
so instead I cut them up into segment of 3s and wire them back to back and it'll beable to go around the whole room with a single 12v/.75A wall plug to power it all...

I was wondering what kind of wire should i use? I was going to use speaker wire or stripped ethernet wire but since i don't have unlimited access to stripped ethernet wire i was hopping to see what other wires should i use...

ps. ethernet wire have worked really well in the past but i've used speaker wire in my case and that's working really good as well...

This is what it kind of looks like :D

And wear a raincoat.

First, it's of utmost importance to mount the mirrors at the headboard and on the ceiling before wiring any lighting effects. I'd suggest using mutliple entire strings rather than cutting them up, and then have them cascade down end and both sides of the bed creating a curtain of light. Then you lay back and have her go to work on top of you and enjoy the show :D

thanks guys...

I was just wondering what kind of wire should i use in between each mini SMD lights...

I've made this power spliter and gonna put it in a plexiglass box i am working on

Plexiglass will carry an exlectrostatic charge over its surface. Might want to just use wood or a different plastic.
