Turbocharge FireFox
Picked this up on another forum...supposed to speed up FireFox browser up to 10X.
1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries: 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. |
nice find ricks! i'll try it out real quick....

IE9 FTW LOL
|
I tried it on Waterfox. Hard to tell with this ssd installed, but anyway it did no harm.
|
Might have to try out FF, Chrome sucks and Opera is acting twitchy lately (although it might be my addons). I only use IE for important stuff like email.
|
Much faster. thanks.

I could'nt really tell...I'm using Waterfox 64 bit which is already supposed to be quicker.

I just realized something. You used to have to do this back on IE6 as well.
