"Handy Backup is designed for MS Windows 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP"? |
the way I read it is they are acknowledging that Win 8 is a piece of shit. Sales of the "Surface" have been a disaster.
Note you don't seen any teens dancing around school with them in the TV commercials anymore ? |
:laugh:Wholie fuck dat was funny!

WinME had bad press. (It really was win 98 with a new UI) So they released win2000 with a new gui to get a fresh new OS out XP Windows Vista had bad press. New Gui and call it windows 7 Windows 8 came out and got bad press New Gui and call it windows 9 See the pattern? I am not saying that ALL they do is slap a gui on it and annouce it is new, they make some simple changes too but the UI is the big one. |

The supposed "public" demands an OS, simple laws of supply and demand, or in Microsoft's case, how much money they can make quick when their stocks are hurting. Push an OS, watch it flop, and wait for the real OS to be released after it does. I have used Win 8, without touch screen it is a joke, IMHO it was meant for windows based tablets, and for technicians, it is even worse... On to the next! :cool3: |
You either forgot, or are too young to know, the real MS fuck the public to gain market share move in releasing Win3.0 to hit the market before IBMs far superior OS2 was released. 0S2 was already a REAL 32bit operating system while Win3.0 was a crummy 16bit GUI attached to DOS 7 that didn't run worth a shit. MS released WIN3.1 within months. 0S2 unfortunetaly was dead on arrival thanks to MS marketing and beating it to the market with a crap OS. Windows didn't become 32 bit until many many years after OS2 was dead and buried.
It's been the same story ever since, just like Rich outlined it. Bastages  Quote:

I did not see win3.0 until about 10 years ago. I was invloved in computers in the late 70s and 80s but spent most of the 90s doing things that kept me out of the house and damaging brain cells. So I used BASIC, DOS and then win 98/Me |
man, I loved DOS :D
Only used Basic on my Vic 20 rofl |
