Quick question
now i am using cpuz to check my frequncy and clock gen to overclock. will windows tell me the right frequency also or is it wrong cause when go to the properties on my computer it says 1.19ghz but cpuz says its 1725 mhz which is also 1.70 ghz.
so my question is is cpuz right? |
Do you have speedstep, c1e, Thermal Management, or any other thermal controls turned off or on in the bios?
|
hmm i am not sure, why?
|
Windows properties is probably reading the speed that you booted at. CPUZ continually refreshes.
If you open core temp and then start ocing the CPU speed it displays also will not change (although again, it will in CPUZ :) ) |
yeah thats what i figured but hey it doesnt hurt to ask, so thanks
|
cpuz is going to be your most accurate over windows properties... sometimes windows properties just goes on fsb * max multi.. so you might be at 3600mhz but it says 6ghz... its a bit messy
