Patriot SSD's doubles cache

I like the 10 year warranty on those, my MTRON PROs have a 5 year for full replacement.
Haven't seen any tests done with these yet. |
Yay for band-aids... Now twice as meh
Cache just masks controller issues for the most part, especially in lower end drives. With a decent controller (Ex. Intel) you don't need much cache. |
WIth a 10 year warranty i would rape those SSDs.

i have 2 of the warp v2.0 drives in raid 0 and they fly... granted each once in awhile they get a small stutter but otherwise they have been EXCELLENT

I am sure that this warranty won't matter to anyone when it comes to actually buying an SSD - let me explain what I mean.
1) Who cares what happens in 5 or 10 years for an average or an enthusiast user? We are gonna have 3-4 new generations of SSDs, I don't think that someone will keep an "obsolete" SSD that long. 2) I believe that they simply put that 10 years warranty label in order to have something eye-catching in order to 'beat' Intel's SSD, which imo are BY FAR the best SSDs out there ;) |
