Minor Site issue
So I have been using "New Posts" when checking the site to see whats going on and that has worked great so far.
Today for some reason when I click "New Posts" I get a very long list of posts that go back for days. Almost all are not New Posts. So I replyed to a few posts and now they just disappear from the "New Posts". nor do they they show up on "Quick Links - Todays Posts" I can find them if I go into into the forums and look. I have logged out and back in, cleared cookies and all that jazz but I get the same thing. Any ideas ? |
I click it and it only shows two threads. Strange. I never use that though as I only use quick links and then today's posts. You might try that.

Quick Links - Todays Posts seems to be working now, but not New Posts.

Buckeye, I've changed the way the database stores data. The new posts function is actually working correctly now but its been the board has been reset so you'll see several pages of new posts until they expire.
Once you've clicked on a new posts and viewed it, its no longer a new posts. But you should be able to find posts which occurred within the last 24hours in the "Today's" posts link. |
Additionally, u can use "qucklinks" then "Mark forums read" to clear out all the new posts listed and get back to a regular "New" post listing.

I like the way the new post works....especially since i have been busy for the past couple of days and I can see which posts i have missed....and there has been alot LOL

Yah I was going to complain about this at first, but I like it better :)
I can mark forums read when I want, but in the meantime if I pop on here click new posts and there is a whole page, and I do not get to read all the threads I am interested in, and have to get up, I do not miss out on them :) |
