Personally I think many OCers got discouraged by the fast changing of the platform and no backward compatibility, also i believe the later platforms such as LGA 1150 and 1055 have not been so much improvement in performance and ovecrlocking has been disabled by intel ? To be honest currenty i have no idea what is the difference between 1150/1155/1156 platforms and also there is a LGA2011 ??? And i have no idea what AMD is doing but i havent seen some benchmark results posted from the HWbot like the good old Phenom II 965 with no coldbug and liquid helium cooling ? Is there now even a competetion between AMD and intel ? Sorry if this is a little bit OT but i dont know where else to post it
