CF scaling will take some time to get straightened out, so from a usability stand point, go single GPU.

However the bencher in me says 5970!!!! Basically 2 5870s for the price of 1.5

Well, maybe not 2x 5870s, dunno if anyone is hitting 1300 core speed on the 5970s
