Not at all .... my best guess is that was the problem with the 8600
not sure though but when I took it apart it looked like it had good contact but could not geet it to work .....
towards the end last night I added more acetone to make up for low dice supply .... literally speed benching and sweeping up the dust to make it to the end ..... LOL
but there is a temp penalty to having to much as when I started was running about
-58C going into the last benches temps were only at -49C
but I limped through 03 at a bit lower clocks but still good enough for a 31 spot bump
If I would have had a better 8800 GT may have been able to pull down an 8100 to 8200 Vantage for some hardware but the 8800 GT I have is easily the biggest POS I have ever used .....
SO I was happy just to get what I could
Seems like even under the cold Vmods are needed for many cards to compete for hardware
This is the shit, loads of fun ... it is great having something to do while the benchies run ......
