Whoever wrote that is obviously an a$$hole, mostly because most people simply don't have the motivation or KNOWLEDGE to build a PC. And the PC they buy at the store consist of underpowered obsolete hardware that will handle little more than internet surfing or MSoffice.

Anyone who built PCs back in the days before plug and play, however, can read between the lines and there he/she does have a point. A moot point considering it's 30 years in the past, but a point non the less. In the old days, everything that plug and play does for you had to be done manually using switches and jumpers. It could take anywhere from a couple hours to an entire day to get everything in sync and the pc booted and running. I have one of the original DOS based ASUS plug and play mobos somewhere in my garage with a 386 sitting in it, gotta find it and see if it's worth any bointange LOL

Truth is the VAST MAJORITY of the public would not have a clue how to build a gaming machine, so they pay twice as much for half the power at the local Micro Center.. sad but true.

Whoever wrote that missive on Clist is still and a$$hole though
