You MUST have a k-type temp probe and meter so you can watch temps... Extech EA10 is a favorite temp meter.
Any vaccuum insulated coffee carafe or pitcher will work for pouring. You can get them at wal-mart or target etc...
The "Glaze" technique Honda mentioned helps speed up temp drop immensely, here is how I do it...
1. Pour the pot down to ~ -75c
2. Torch the inside, focusing on the holes, until its solid white (usually 10-15 seconds or so)
3.Resume pouring and watch the temps fly
