so i just got this cam from stables and it was one of those free ones, and it uses those AAA batteries and i was wondering if i can mod something to make it i can use USB cable

it's got a USB mini on it
i already tried everything with the USB and NOTHING! kinda pissed right now
i took the cable and cutted it open and then cut the data cables and the damn thing still think it's on a computer when i turn it on even tho the cable only got the black and red cable and gave 5V +/- 1%
and i have modded more than enough usb cable to do douche bag things (molex, lights you name it, and it worked everytime!)

anyone have any ideas if there is anything i can do to make it run on USB?
i was gonna connect the USB to the batteries socket and but on the battery cover it's saying AAA 1.5v BUT the usb gives out 5v
and i dont' wanna cook the video cam
