My guess its more about curbing snack attacks. If you eat a "meal" every 2 hours your awake you are less likely to down a bag a chips or 2.
Its all about calories in vs calories out imo. Eat fewer calories then you burn you lose weight.
What I cant stand is how alot of these diet publications and even like yahoo etc just harp on how meat is bad for you
