Just documenting my current at the old house. This is what $40/month has been getting me.
New house gets wired within the week. Decided against the Comcast scam. We don't get TV or phone so I didn't feel like signing a two $*()%&(* year contract for "20 mbs" with "powerboost" for $70/month with no guarantee of speeds anywhere near that.
Decided to go with Sonic. The company's based in my town, I'm pretty close to a node, and they're offering me dual 20 mbs DSL lines with a bonded modem for $70/mo with NO CONTRACT. I suspect the dual lines just add redundancy and won't give me the 30-40mps additive speed the rep claims, but with NO CONTRACT I can just cancel if it sucks.
