How about this 24k BTU beast You just gotta have a 230 to run it on (i have one right by my benching area). Since it's R410A is can get colder than a r507 (do people just not do r410a because technically you need epa cert for it, though you can buy it on ebay). And with a tad over 2hp i'm sure it can get pretty freaking cold... pull a vacuum of 1 inch and you got -58.. of course you need a 24k btu condenser too... Just thought it would make a killer SS.. and loud too. |
It would not be pratical to use a 2 ton compressore and condenser
One thing could you imagine your electric bill? We are talking about a compressor large enough to cool a 1400 square foot house
A two row condensor would have to be at least 4' square with a 800 CFM fan ............
Best place for this is in an AC unit for your house
I used 410A to charge Madds SS a few weeks back ....
I think many newer units will be using it as it is easily availible and cheaper than most other alternatives.
I would not go any bigger than a 3/4 HP rotary for an SS and trust me .... they get hot and are loud
