About 16 years old, riding in the back seat of my buddy's chevelle SS convertible. We had just stolen a bowling ball (no clue why we did that, but..) from a bowling alley "way out in the sticks".
On the way home the road was really hilly - name of the city is "Lake in the Hills: :laughing
Thought it would be cool so we unzipped the back window and rolled the ball off the truck onto the road behind us. Damn thing jumped about 10 feet into the air then started chasing us down the hill
My life passed before my eyes
My buddy was freaking out that it was going to smash his car
Fortunately for us, the road curved slightly before the bottom of the hill where there was a stop sign, so just before the damn thing killed us (it was catching up with each high bounce lol) it left our lane and moved into the lane for oncoming traffic. Skinny two lane road with wild forrests on either side, no way to move out of the way
NOW we were convinced we were going to kill someone when the ball smashed through their windshield
Instead, the ball went into the wooded area next to the road and stopped bouncing - came fucking zooming out across the road that we were now stopped at and disappeared back into the woods. At least one of the drivers at the intersection saw it but had no way of connecting us to it
Stupid, or was that fucking stupid ?
