Just ran a system scan using sfc /snannow from the admin command propmt. It reports it found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of the :thumbdonw:
Doing a restore will lose bf3 at least, and could delete black ops and ut3 as well, so it's not really worth the effort. Same amount of download as reloading.
if the upgrade doesn't work, a new OS install is definately in my immediate future
