Default Help For Ram OverClocking

Hi All

Before Tanx For Helping Me

And Then My Problem With Ram Frquency
I Have 2*2Gig Team Xtream Dark Series PC2-8500 CL5

Timming 5-5-5-15 With 2.1,2.2 Volt In 1066

Finaly Set 500FSB On My Q9550 & 1000Mhz With 333/666 Strap For Benching

My Question Can I Use 333/800 or 333/1066 To Get 1200MHZ
I Try 6-6-6-18 With 1200Mhz But Can't Get This Speed
Any Issue For Me Any Idea?

Just up the voltages. It always works right up until the point where your RAM starts to disintegrate.

Yep i should work... It is also said that you can clock your rams higher at 1:1 divider... but i never compared it...

@ViViD, try loosening some of your sub timings a bit. Keep 5-5-5-15 but loosen the next number to 4 for 1200mhz and your trfc (the next number) to 70 or higher. Don't just crank volts, most ram has a sweet spot where it will perform happily for you and sometimes less voltage works better than more. My DDR3 throws errors in memtest at rated timings (oc'd speed though) at 1.65v but at 1.6v it performs flawlessly, it's rated for 1.65v.

That ram needs 2.1-2.2v at "stock" 1066MHz, so more voltage may be required. Your NB could also need more juice to run your RAM that fast.

Once you hit 2+volts for DDR2 you really need to have some active cooling on there.

Also if you motherboard supports skew, you can try adjusting those settings. Really helped me get the most out of my Pi series ram.

Tanx All

My Mobo: DFI DK P45-T2RS Turbo
CPU: Q9550

And 2 Server Fan Worked Top Of Ram It's Soo PowerFull Fans
Ya I need 2.1 2.2 Volt For 1066 On 5-5-5-15 Timming
When Use 500FSB In bios Can Chioce Few Setting About Ram Frquency In Strap
I'm Use 333/666 To 1000MHZ But Next Strap 333/800 Or 400/800 Give 1200Mhz And Not Boot System With That
I Set trfc Higher 70 And Coming back
Tanx

Hey bro ,

set this profile + ch1 skew : 2 | ch2 skew : 2 | rcomp : 0

voltage : 2.28v ( in bios = 2.3v ) . but as i remember those modules could stable @ 2.2v .

Update : I forgot to link the image :
