Talking Its a Miracle!!!

I biggest fear didn't come true! OK let me back it up. I RMA'ed my Classy and Muskin Ascent DDR3 2000MHz cas 8' RAM last week because another stick bit the dust. I am led to believe it was the Classy eatin them up. Well my biggest fear was they wouldn't ship back the same RAM and instead some lower grade, higher cas back to me as Mushkin didn't sell my RAM anymore or at least I couldn't find they did. At their site all they had was the basic Redline version without the Ascent heatsink. Just got confirmation today that they shipped out the exact same RAM back to me. Woot woot. Talk about fast too. They just received my RAM yesterday. I was afraid they would drag their feet like Kingston did and take a few weeks to approve it. All I need now is EVGA to come on which I am sure that will be within a couple of days. They always have had a fast RMA process like the Egg.

This brings up a good point. Perhaps it is best to "over-order" components that are most likely to go out-of-date quickly, like RAM. It's relatively inexpensive, so maybe I'll think about getting a few "extra sticks" to put in a static-free "vault", just in case.

I just wish I would have ordered some more DDR2 sticks last year when they were cheaper. I was looking for 4GB's the other day but realized your going to be out at least $90 for some DDR2 800! Shits gone up.
