Talking Fascintating (Captain)

A year or so ago, there was a great deal of speculation on whether or not the 285s were able to utilize the ful 16X offered by a PCIe 16 Xslot. When my gamer was on the banchetto, I used my e769 mogo that had tri sli 285 hydro copper graphics cards, but on the 760 though you get 16x8x8 tri sli. Running at 4.5ghz on water it made a nice gamer, but on some of the Gdawgg UT3 maps there was noticeable graphics issues.

Since putting the gamer back into the HAF, I'm using my e759 which offers full 16x16x16 tri sli and there is no doubt that the game plays visually smoother. Faster too unless I found the fountain of youth during the rebuild period, cause I can track the pic much better now.

So.. in conclusion... I'm saying it appears that the 285 in tri sli on a 16x8x8 board was not able to utilize the full graphics capacities of the cards.
