Default Galaxy Announces Wireless HD Streaming GTX 460

Quote:
Galaxy has partnered up with AMIMON to create a one of a kind GTX 460. As we’ve seen, many of the board manufacturers have been struggling to find ways to make their graphics cards [especially ones of the GTX 460 kind] different from the rest of the pack and find ways to charge more for basically the same card. Some of them have resorted to overclocking their cards and others have completely changed the cooling solutions while also overclocking their cards. In Galaxy’s case they did no such thing.

Personally, I'd love to try this out and see how far I can go and what kind of quality I can get. I wouldn't really consider this for gaming in another room since the keyboard and mouse would have lag, but for streaming HD movies into other rooms it should be sweet.

Unless it is wildly new wireless tech it wont work
N300 cant even stream HD from a server 35' away.

And yes I read enough to learn how to tweak it... 720P plays fine now 1080p Is stil too much (and thats 3ch N...)

Skeptical but hopeful....

I wouldn't mind having one for the htpc just to have one less wire to f*** with.

I'm going to put a big "no way, Jose" on that 100ft. part. There are too many things going on in a household anymore that will interfere with even a 5ghz signal. Plus you have different "outside" interference to deal with. It may do 1080p or some weird variation of it, but only in the same room, and I'd imagine the closer the better in order to remove as much signal interference from the equation as possible.

Why? Most devices operate at 2.4GHz, some phones work at 5GHz and some wireless routers work at 5GHz...
