I am an old boy interested in "overclocking" C programming etudes like strstr and hash table functions.

The reason I joined Overclockaholics is because I need help to benchmark my latest search function written in C.
The test package takes some 14 minutes to complete and consists of one 197MB English text file and one 212MB DNA sequence file used as haystacks and to be traversed by Intel 12.1 and Microsoft 16 compiled 64bit executables.

I hope my CPU&RAM stressing test to be run on some much faster (than my Core2 T7500 2.2GHz) machine.

Just to set everyone straight, Assasin sent me a 100 dollar money order as a first payment, I am hopeful he will continue to do so until the $ 375.00 is paid off.

I am glad he is making an effort to do the right thing, I hope he see's it through to the end for me and anyone else who was left hanging
