Default Afterburner Remove CCC Limits

  1. Go to installed directory of MSI Afterburner, default: C:\Program file\MSI Afterburner
  2. Use notepad to edit “MSIAfterburner.cfg”
  3. Change the parameter of “EnableUnofficialOverclocking” from “0” to “1”.
Direct from MSI

I see where the AB gpu clock goes to 1090 instead of CCC 1000 but the memory clock on CCC goes to 1500 where the AB only goes to 1300.... This is with the 5970 ATI drivers

I think I will be getting the XFX 5870 XXX.. This is a guess but the XFX guy wants a comparison of the Asus i ran on H20....I ask him why he didn't get a dice guy to do it and he said he had one.. Wanted the same runs as i did with the Asus

I will run anything i get to keep for gratas...

I think the XFX 5870 XXX is what you are referring to as the Black..Is that not the case??? I really don't know until i open the box....

I have only seen the Black name with the 5970..Then again, I haven't opened the box...

As far as any problems I am only going by reviews on the egg which usually mean squat....

He told me what he was sending had the double lifetime warranty in case i wanted to give or sell it after i finished...It could be called the Black..The 5970 is...

Hopefully no problems. I haven't run th3 5870 or 5970 in a lil while but if memory serves me correct, using Afterburner to adjust voltages while using CCC to adjust clocks works best with multiple cards.

Single card, I don't recall.
