Chuch, now that you say that, and I don't mean to hijack this thread. Would you recommend for try SS first or DICE. I have never done any form of extreme cooling, just looking for the most straightforward method to get the feel of it.

SS is nice because you bench on your own time. The problem is once you use colder methods its not that thrilling, but still fun. Convenience factor is what its all about. Oh an pre-testing. If you want the most possible excitement go with dice or ln2

This is all truth. I went from SS to DICE and DICE was so much more fun....but less convenient and if I had an SS I would have pounded out maybe not as fast benches, but more and across more platforms.

LN2>Cascade>DICE>SS

yeah im looking for something convenient. I know with cascades and stuff you just swap from one setup to the other and that's it, right? I meanj its just like putting a waterblock per say, you just use the proper mounting hardware and that's it?

dice is almost like ln2..... (no need for dewar nor flask).. some welding gloves help. needs ventilation ...can't control temps......what you need. pot + acetone + dice

recipe:
1. good pot...incase you jump to ln2 world ..sf3d pot is 265, kp pot 2xx , d8r pot 2xx
2. acetone ..under 10$
3. eraser...under 10$ @ michaels
4. welding gloves...home depot...the dark brown is best.
5. dice and ice box ( styro hold better) grocery...

if you start with dice..you can upgrade later to ln2...just get a dewar and flasks...

i started with dice....its too addictive

i hope i didn't scare yah
