Default When you need caps, and the solder iron ain't enough.

Okay, I had this dead P45 Neo3 from MSI. it had a lot of decent caps for volt mods and stuff.

I tried with 2x different 30w solder irons and a 100w pistol...no luck getting those caps out.

So what do you do, board is dead! and you want those caps badly, wait..a propan/gassburner. God idea

Caps

LOL having fun there

Yeah there might be some usable parts on MB's if you are into VModding stuff. I don't think a socket is one of them, you might be able to get the thing off the MB, but putting one back in and having it actually work would be difficult.

Just a tip on those pictures, try putting them so they don't go accross the page with multi pictures, have them go down the page so we don't have to scoll 5 miles accross to see everything, plus when people make posts after you they go a long ways to the right

Aye!
There was several of 560UF 4v and 470UF 6.3v, caps I could use for a 5870 vmod.

Fixed it!

Got to order myself a 50/100k OHM 3106 or something for it first. And if I can get my hands on Sanyo OS-con 560UF 4v i will go for them I think.

And some 1000-2000uF on each phase me thinks.

Lol, not really:p Tbh, i don't know a shit about it:p

I will get a TEK soon, so I just got to Vmod my 5870. I will just regret it if I don't.
Always nice to learn from someone.

hey im not saying im any sort of master at all lol... but if i know i will definitely help where I can.

Good luck to you.... if your not familiar with the IC make sure to pull the sheets on it so you know which signal or which trace to mod...

Also looking up mods others have done can help on newer hardware, but remember that you will want to make sure you have the SAME PCB as them exactly so that nothing goes funky on ya.

Good luck
