Default Sudden Issues when benching

Guys,

I tried for a Super PI bench session today and for an unknown apparent reason i started off at 4545 MHz, as I get closer to 4.6 GHz runs start getting slower and eventually crash. Windows starts to get sluggish, the mouse stutters as it moves and then crashes and I get sometimes a "FF" on the LCD of the board. My best super pi previously was at 4734 Mhz so I know the CPU has more left in it for super pi. I noticed that the other day when I ran some 3dmarks I had an issue at close to 4.6 GHz too that's why I ran them lower at 4529 MHz. This all really started since I installed XP 32 bit, previously it was Windows 7 64 Bit.

If i was to reinstall or change the OS and the issue is not solved, what do you guys think it can be? Something degrading/failing, or just for some apparent reason a need of tweaking???

CP - When the mouse stutters, is it like Yosimite Sam or more of a Mel Tillis?

When it starts to stutter like that, try upping the pcie mhz a couple notches till it stops. I think you should be safe up to 108, 110 pciemhz. Tell me if it helps at all.

Maybe run RealTemp in the background to rule temp problems out?

Done for tonight guys, but i'll give this a go tomorrow for sure and post back, thanks.

@kal
I did try up to 104 MHz, that didn't seem to help the problem. What seemed like it helped was raising my ICH voltage up another notch, but still had slow runs and some stuttering.

I have, temps are in the 40's (celsius), plus the lcd display on the board says ambient temps. The hottest core is always about 15șc above what the display says. I.E. Display says 50șc, core is at max 65șc. That's how I keep an eye on my temps when a temp. monitoring program is closed.

no, it's only as I'm getting close to the 4.6 GHz mark, but I have ran super pi at over 4.7 GHz with same exact hardware without issues. All these issues started with the XP install :( Maybe it's bad or it just doesn't like 32 bit for some reason?
