When you're up and walking around you blink every 4-5 seconds.

When you stare at a screen (or read, or drive, or sew...) you blink every 10-20 seconds.

Those of you over 40 are blinking even less while you stare and squint trying to see crap up close.

Cutting the Lasik flap also cuts corneal nerve endings that play a role with your tears. Effectively makes you even drier Supes.
