Not in that way.

The 780 will make the 680 look like a 560 Ti in comparison to the GTX 580.
The difference between the two will be massive ( those two should've been 660 Ti & 680 ).
Just bear with the numbers:
48 ROPs vs 32 ROPs
128 TMUs vs 128 TMUs
2304 SPs vs 1536 SPs
384bit vs 256bit
3GB vs 2GB
+ some compute features unique to the 780 ( GPGPU )

Can't tell when they'll launch it.
Could be anytime this year.
Could be June... July... August... September... October... November... aaaand... December.

Actually this will workout decent for me, being I am in the midst of moving I am hoping to be ready to bench by then and in the interim take Doms approach beating retro cards to the brink .............

Think one or two of the 780's will have to be on my Christmas list
