sp1 for win7 has a performance increase...
sp2 and sp3 for windows xp had performance increase...

Been running all this time at 1.74 - why all of a sudden does it need more? Relaxing all the sub-timings seems to make no difference...I even deleted/re-installed the bench to no avail.

uncore too high? chip is degrading, memory is degrading try a different OS install? 1 mem stick at a time, try different chip. some things to try
