I'd be more worried about picking up those 4 marks in 06 to take a 2-GPU WR

All 3D @ 5.8 would mean a refresh of all cards though ....

Vantage would be freaking insane boost to be sure though............

Man ..... Hmmmm.... how to justify dropping 1K on a chip ..... ?????

Just get really hammered and do it.

Idk man.... I'm waiting for something else to drop out of nowhere for 1/3 the price of the 980. To be sure this will not be the only 32nm x58 chip

Yes indeed. Xeons tend to perform well. A good locked multi 32nm would rock my socks

First run at it on SS and win 7 64.
What was really strange is in win7 32 and XP i only get 8 threads not 12. I do get 12 in Win 7 64. Any thoughts on that?
I had to go and get the newer version of cpu-z to be able to show the mem.
Now after switching my OS back and fourth all of a sudden the dam board wont boot and it keeps hanging on 7F. I cant get into the bios at all. I pulled it off the phase and Im gonna let her sit a while and see. I ahve no clue what 7F is.

"7F post error check. Check post error and display them and ask for user intervention"

Thats what the book says.

That pifast score is the same as my 920 at 5Ghz in XP. If you can run in XP. Im curious on how it does
