some mobos like the 657/658/659s they're rated at 600w ...some eps connectors an do 50A but some don't thats why the mobos i mentioned have 2 eps connectors and an auxillary 12v molex on the mobo.... depending on the cpu... an i5 won't draw 40A...but an i7-860 can be pushed hard ...860? its obsolete
