Comes in handy when you have +1GB of memory and a drop of ~.05v from one side to the other.
I poked around on the back of the card...

the 2.3 is missing a couple of caps vice the 2.2 Read 1.35 on a couple and 1.25 on the other for GPU

Vmem one reads 12v though :s Only thing holding me back on that card is read points.. the ICs are the same.. less CAPS means just less Voltage regualtion I would think...

The fact that one cap reads a full tenth off though well I dunno

Vmods is new to me... imma get my feet wet on cards that are well documented first.. figure out the ICs and stuff as I go.. figure that is the best bet and maybe as I progress I can figure out future vmods...

Any help you can give is totally appreciated though

EDIT: and yes was only a couple thumbscrew twists to take the HS off and the 3 CAPS by the GPU are marked 2.5 volts... other says 04v same size

(ther are 5 small on the 2.2 second from top is missing on on hte big cans to the left the bottom is missing.. ) the two missing cans

big and little can for vmem is present will start a thread on it tomorrow.. if you are interested...
