is this with dice?

old motherboards apply the voltage set from the bios....instantly from the boot

sometimes this is helpful..but sometimes it hurts the boot.

Not dice yet, just the chiller I built. I can try another PSU quick I guess. Thanks for the idea. I don't really suspect my Corsair TX850, but I guess I can hope since it's guaranteed.

I tried a different PSU, and the symptoms changed to the 4 LEDS of death....is what I heard it called earlier.

Strange.........hmmmmm......I better test that PSU out tomorrow since this is the 2nd odd fatality that was connected to it.

I thought it was PSU related earlier. Build a chamber for psu and hdds and keep them in the 60F+ range. coffe cup warmer with a heatsink on it and fan should do it

Worth a shot... all it wastes is TIM

I thought it was HD related earlier, but now I think maybe it was actually the board having a minor heart attack when it was cutting out Monday. PSU doesn't seems to mind the cold.

Why can't I find information about the LEDS on these LP UT nF4 boards?

Then I went for max overclock again @ 1.63v and was astounded at the difference a nice cold NY day can make. I'm going to validate 3.6GHz before the day is done.
I got 3.74Ghz and much better superpi.

Because the real DFI Street no longer exists. You have to rely on info from former members.

Sure enough I didn't test out the PSU today.

I tested 2 boards out though with my old Enermax and they worked fine. So I picked a board and installed it on my main bench with the chiller and the Corsair TX850. Well what do you think happened when I hit the power button? It powers for a split second then shuts off same as last night after it quit and I thought it was the board.

So I hook the Enermax to it and try it and of course I get the 4 LEDS of death. I'm going to put another board on the chiller bench with the Enermax and see how that goes.

I'd have to say my fancy shmancy Corsair is junk. I'll test it out later, but I'm not hooking it to any more boards to do it. I'm sure Corsair will replace it, but I'm sure they won't do anything to cover the 3 boards I say were killed by it. I'll try like hell for a upgraded replacement at least.

Not happy.
