Opera is where it's at! The quick dial function along with tabbed browsing that actually opens your quick dial and a search engine unlike ff that just opens a blank page after right clicking the address bar and selecting open new tab... I have gotten to really like Opera the more I use it, the wand is nice for being able to quickly enter passwords and user names. I do have ff installed as well as IE8 on my laptop as Opera still isn't supported by fox.net for watching tv shows and some lame backwards sites just won't work with ANYTHING other than IE.

I think about speed dial you can use speed dial extension for firefox :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4810

and see this please :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12169

most of the good opera things can be in firefox with extensions .

Why screw around making a browser that isn't Opera as much like Opera as possible when you can just use Opera?

On a side note I was definitely wrong in my thinking that Opera would be more likely to be the nerd 's browser of choice...lmao

no if you're a LOGICAL person you'll figure out that any browser has some advantages and disadvantages ! opera has many some good point , too . but when you can get those advantages with extensions to firefox and have features , speed and etc advantages in firefox . it's stupid to do that ?! you say that if we hang on opera for those advantages and leave firefox features are more logical ?!

that's why i called it's important to firefox is a OPEN SOURCE browser !!!

You try Opera? The 10 beta is SWEET

I am actually surprised in this community, there were only 3 Opera votes :s

I was using firefox exclusively, but after awhile I'd end up with a dozen or more ghost windows that I'd never see until I shut down?? Now, I am not realy cumfy with the new interface of FF4.

IE I use only on this lappy

I like the interface and speed of Chrome I guess.

Problem is, I LOVE FireFox's download window....

I'm sooo conflicted :

Just took a quick peruse, on Move media player (the one fox.com uses and ABC for that matter) and although I found a bug related to it in the Opera community about it not painting when window resizing, I did not see an install for it (will have to be a forced install since Move does not support it natively.. should not be hard though since it works on Fx 2 and 3 so it obviously is not using ActiveX controls). Will look into it more when I get back home tomorrow.

EDIT: Oh not to pick nits with Firefox users, but it is Firefox not FireFox. The correct abbreviation for Firefox is Fx not FF. If it was Fire Fox than FF would be correct but Mozilla themselves even state it is Fx. Not to be confused with FX with is not an abbreviation at all but a phonetic shortening of the word effects.
