So you just left everything on auto while using your dfi board? Seriously...share.

Only prime95 testing I did I it was at 200 BCLK with a 21 mult which netted me 4.2ghz. Here is what I used:

1.25 vcore (1.2v stressed)
1.56 dimm
1.23vtt
1.11 ioh/ich
1.10 ioh analog
200 bclk
100 pcie

That was all and those were the only volts you had to jive with on the mobo. Ran for hours at this. I think around 6 hours before I shut it off. I really don't get too much into prime95 anymore as I pretty much run my rig at default speeds everyday unless benching.

Yeah it seems like running less ram takes a lot of strain off of this platform.

BTW my cpu is a barely younger brother to yours at 3845B260.

Oh yeah. I did that prime at 3 gbs in. The higher I run my RAM the more vtt I have to feed it. I think on the DFI, to run the RAM at 2000 I need almost 1.39v vtt. I can't verify that personally but cstkl1 over at i4memory has done some extensive RAM testing on the DFI and came up with that.

Once I get everything situated, benches complete on the Classy, less work in my personal life, I plan on finding a nice lil overclocked setting for my cpu and ram. I would like to get my ram around 2000 mhz. Prolly cpu at 4.2ghz. My new set of ram is 6gb's.

My voltage requirements went up quickly from stock but I did set my ram voltage to 1.65v right out of the gate when the beating commenced. At stock speed mine would prime until shut off at :

.960 vcore
1.215 vtt
1.5v vdimm 7-8-7-20 1T 1600mhz (rated spd/timings) 3x2gb kit. At 180 bclk it would prime the same timings at 1.65v 1800mhz.

Don't get me wrong. The classy is over shooting my vcore big time as at 1.16v I can do 4ghz. My DFI defaulted me at .96v as well. Whether it was stable I dunno as I didn't prime it but could only imagine so as it was default settings.

Mine actually defaulted at 1.248v on the bios that it shipped with, I just worked all my volts down to see what it actually needed and have since flashed the bios.

I apologize guys for draggin my feet on getting my threads started. Between two jobs, lack of sleep, quality time with the girl, master bath remodel as well as a few other problems my time in the day is little. I know punx, I am still trying to call you too.

Here is a pic to answer the question of how it fits in the standard tech station. You can see it overhangs about an inch on the RAM side. That is all. I know, I am using the SLI bridge off my LanParty. What can you do?

CLICK PICS

Here is a shot of the RAM. I need to get a better camera.

Here is another lil preview on the RAM. My 2000MHz run before was actually at 1.71v. What I have figured is whatever setting you use in BIOS/Eleet is really .06 more in real world. So a setting of 1.65v in BIOS/Eleet is really 1.71v real world. I wonder how many people overvolt their RAM thinking they are using 1.65v when really they are using 1.71v? Here is a run with it at 1.59v BIOS/Eleet and 1.65v real world.

You got to love the Overclockaholics desktop!

I have some 1760 CL6 6-5-18 1T runs under my belt. Tryin for 1800 at those speeds.

More to come, just got to bare with me. I am so dying to put this thing under DICE.
