Default WD Raptor 74Gb (old) vs. Seagate 7200.12 80Gb

I wonder which drive is faster ? I am planning to use it only in benching or gaming so each % matters... Or can you advice me other HDD in similar price ?(up to $55)

I've never had a Seagate that lasted as long as a Western Digital hard drive and off the cuff I'd suspect that the seagate would eat the Raptors shorts here as well.
