lakeside2189 is just getting started
Default XFX 5970 Black

I finally had some time and installed the 5970 Black...I had issues with the HIS5970 and sent it back to the egg today.
No issues with this card. No rebooting, grinding fan etc. etc. Then i noticed that there was no fan control at all..So I went on XFX site and downloaded the fan control bios and had to put it on a usb drive and flash it and WALA...Even though that is weird this is one sweet card...
I downloaded the overvolt tool which has 2 voltage settings.. I really know nothing about it yet so i set the card for what I had the HIS set at for 3D03.. I set the 2 voltage settings at half...1200 points more than the HIS.

I need to play with this some but I think they could be correct about 30% more...This was a freebie try and see card...I will never give it back...

I think I am going to sell the HIS when it comes since i paid for it and get another one of these.....
3D03 first run at 4.625 and low settings 817/1124 and half of each voltage setting.

I still have that error message in 06....Maybe i will reload the raid 0 and see if it goes away....
