What DrNip said. I have a 4 yr old graddaughter and it's nice to have a dig camera in your shirt pocket for quick snaps but the camcorder is great at catching things you just can't seem to get with the camera. Buy both, you will thank yourself years from now. Plus you and the woman can always take movies in bed when you don't have anything better to do.
