cowboy If you are going to game any then I would pretty much scratch Apple. Really you are going to get more bang for the buck buy building your own. Do you do any encoding? Out of the three task that you named can you put them in order of importance and maybe give us a list of what games you play? You can actually have a killer little setup with your budget. It would blow any consumer Mac away.
