Dont know about the button on the adapter...

Are you using the adapters networking software or did you just install drivers and going to have XP handle the details? For a stripped OS (or winFLP) I found that running the utility was necessary for anything past WEP encryption.

Does the utility see the UVERSE wireless SSID? Or it never gets to that point?

Make sure and change the default login info and SSID of the uverse router as well if you have not already.

IF you do not see the SSID of the router I would assume the problem is with the router.

The network key is listed on hte side of the router on a sticker, if you want to changeit... use this link on a hardwired computer

I agree completely Bro, I've got tubing and wiring for my fish tanks that goes between the walls from the basement to my 180gal tank on the second floor Was hoping to avoid all the hassle though ... oh well, such is life. Gotta find and get out my 4ft long 3/4in auger, great for going through the joists between the wall ... just so effing scary cause you don't know what you'll hit

Maybe I'll just run it through the wall and then tuck it under the aluminum siding till I get to the window my AC is in and run it in through there... yeah, I think that's what I'll do

Yeah, the adapter sees the router, and yep I installed the software, actually tried it with and without but can't find a way to insert the security key. The installed software tries to auto connect and they don't let you manual input the key!

Even tried making a new connection, which gave me the chance to enter the key but then the adapter didn't see the damned router anymore Going to take it back and use the $$ on a long outdoor cable.

Drilling and running wire tomorrow - time I could be using benching
