Nice runs buddy. Keep pushing. Make sure to pwn up [p]'s little challenge too. I think I've got some backups that will/should last me a couple weeks or so. The only thing that worries me is a good clocking gtx285

I've seen those but still don't understand exactly what it does. Is it just a hard wire mod similar to what the EVGA voltage tuner does for their cards?

Yes, in most cases you are simply lessening the resistance and increasing the voltage using a variable resistor. Soldering points are mapped out as well as voltage read points. I"m a noob myself at it. I'm sure V2_V3 is gonna put up a more detailed how to guide.

I'm gonna practice on a cheapo 50 bucks gpu so that if I kill it, its not that big of a dealio. I've got huge paws so its prolly harder for us bigger guys.

8600gts blows chunks and the card tops out at 127k in AQ3
slapped in the 4870 for this run: 263232 STock GPU clocks and 5336mhz on teh qx9650, 790i Ultra SLI
